Project Overview
The Fruit Ripeness Project aims to develop an innovative sensor that detects changes in fruit skin impedance, accurately measuring fruit ripeness. This product is designed for integration into fruit processing lines, enabling farmers to assess fruit ripeness swiftly. This sensor will allow packing and distribution facilities to implement more effective food handling practices, reducing food waste and cutting operating costs.
Long-Term Goals
- Design a commercially viable fruit ripeness sensor
- Establish a complete fruit skin impedance and fruit ripeness database
- Optimize ripeness sensor performance and cost
Skills You Will Develop
- Detection and processing of weak signals
- Massive data collection and processing
- Setup of Machine Learning networks
- Embedded System Design, Enclosure design
Quick Points
- We can track capacitance changes at the uF level
- We intend to build a data processing engine based on ML
